Finding Greatness: Leslie Guevara Rogers

Leslie Guevara Rogers, who is graduating this spring with her education degree, is a President’s Scholar for the Class of 2024 and will serve as the student speaker at MGA’s spring graduation ceremonies.

Finding Greatness: Dr. Lorraine Dubuisson

Dr. Lorraine Dubuisson of MGA’s English faculty is the recipient of the inaugural Provost’s Award. The award recognizes a faculty member’s significant contributions in teaching, scholarship, and service.

Finding Greatness: Haley Troup

Haley Troup, who earned her bachelor’s degree from Middle Georgia State, is now enrolled in Mercer University School of Medicine’s Master of Family Therapy program. She was named recently to a cohort of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Marriage and Family Therapy Scholars, which provides full tuition for those who have made a commitment to serve children of rural Georgia after completing their education.

Finding Greatness: Nicholas Germundsen

After earning his bachelor’s in Rehabilitation Science from MGA, Nicholas Germundsen is pursuing a master’s degree and a commission as an officer in the U.S. Air Force.

Finding Greatness: Elaine Martin

Elaine Martin of MGA’s Student Affairs staff recently helped the University obtain a $6,000 grant to provide food and other resources to students in need through Knights’ Table.

Sonja Rivers, an academic advisor in MGA’s School of Education & Behavioral Sciences, created a peer mentorship program as part of a class assignment. She is finishing up her Master of Arts in Technical and Professional Writing this fall.

IT major Coby Roye is a cybersecurity intern for the Georgia Tech Research Institute, president of the Cyber Knights student organization, and a leadership program participant through the MGA Center for Career & Leadership Development.
