Degree Objectives: A.S. and B.S., Biology.
Primary Campus: Cochran.
Activities: Secretary of the President’s Torch Society, member of MGA Honors Program, SGA representative on the Cochran Campus, and former SGA representative on the Dublin Campus.
Career Goals: He’s been accepted into Georgia Tech's master's degree program in Orthotics & Prosthetics, which only admits 14 students per year and is one of the nation's best programs in the field. He starts classes in August. "I plan on getting my master’s degree and working in the prosthetic and orthotics field to help fellow amputees overcome the loss of a limb. When I lost my leg in an industrial accident five years ago, my prosthetist was one of the driving factors in my recovery. He is also an amputee, so he was able to relate to the struggles I was experiencing. His encouragement was also one of the reasons I decided to return to college instead of trying to return to an unfulfilling career.”
He chose Middle Georgia State University because … “It was close to home. I did not want to uproot or be away from my family, so Middle Georgia State was the obvious choice.”
One thing that surprised him about Middle Georgia State was … “The strides that Middle Georgia State has made to become a University and to advance the educational opportunities available to students.”
