Remember to be specific about your skills, interests, and the industry desired. When applying, tailor your resume to each position. The Office of Career Services provides no-cost career advising to all currently enrolled students and alumni. Topics of discussion may include clarification of your values, interests, personality or skills in an effort to support options/information concerning the most applicable career path. Student Success Series
The Office of Career Services (in collaboration with Student Life) now offers students a chance to take part in our Student Success Series (SSS). Once a student attends three designated SSS events, they will earn a leather portfolio, personalized business cards, and a certificate. SSS events can range from workshops to presentations to career fairs. To find out which events qualify as part of the Student Success Series, you can check out our Calendar of Events on our home page, or feel free to call our Macon office (478-471-2714) or Cochran office (478-934-3110).

Deciding to attend a graduate or professional school is a big decision. If your interest include obtaining a Master of Science in Information Technology or a Master of Science in Nursing consider graduate school here at MGA http://www.mga.edu/graduate-studies/default.aspx. Below are several resource that may assist you in preparing for this new experience.
Request a Presentation
The Office of Career Services is frequently requested to provide exciting and interactive career-focused presentations. Presentations can encompass a variety of commonly requested topics (see listing by clicking the Presentation Request Form below) or be adapted to address a specific interest. As our services are extended to all campuses, the presentation schedule is often very busy so we suggest requesting this service early in the semester. Click Here to Request A Presentation
The Professional Closet
Students, faculty, and staff from any MGA campus are invited to shop or donate gently used clothes and accessories to The Professional Closet. Within store front locations shoppers may select clothing or make a specific request (i.e. black dress, size 13; navy blue blazer, size large) for only $5 per item. All donations are tax deductible. Macon campus store front located in Suite 254, Student Life Center. Cochran campus store front located in Suite 112, Sanford Hall. Hours of operations are consistent with business operating hours for the university. Cash, checks, and credit cards accepted.
The SHARE Pantry
SHARE stands for Serving, Helping And Respecting Everyone. The SHARE pantry is stocked with staple items such as canned tuna, peanut butter, oatmeal, soap, etc. Students, faculty and staff who show their MGA Knight ID cards can visit once per month to pick up five items each time. Macon SHARE pantry hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday in SLC 114. Cochran SHARE pantry hours are 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday in the Student Center. Those needing services outside of the established hours can contact the Macon Student Life office at (478) 471-2710 or the Cochran Student Center at (478) 934-3152 to make an appointment.
