What is Dual Enrollment?

Dual Enrollment is Georgia's program that offers opportunities for high school students to complete high school and earn college credits at the same time.

Attention! As a result of recent legislative changes the Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC) issued new requirements to qualify for and updates to the Dual Enrollment state funding program effective Summer 2020. Please see below:

Dual Enrollment Funding Updates:
· The Dual Enrollment funding cap is 30 semester hours (the 15 hour limit per semester remains).
· Students in the 9th grade are not eligible to participate in the Dual Enrollment funding program.
· Academically eligible students in the 11th and 12th grades may take approved Dual Enrollment courses.
· Academically eligible (considered high achieving) students in the 10th grade may take approved Dual Enrollment courses.

Please visit for the GSFC website  for a complete list of requirements and updates to the Dual Enrollment state funding program.

Students in the 9th and 10th grades who are not funding eligible yet, but are academically eligible have the option to pay out-of-pocket. Additionally, students planning to enroll in more than 30 credit hours, as a Dual Enrollment student, may choose to pay out-of-pocket for credit hours above the 30 hour cap. Scholarship opportunities may be available through the MGA Foundation.”
