Streaming for Faculty

Welcome to the SSC video streaming overview page. Video streaming for academic instruction is provided to faculty and students through the Student Success Center.

Resources are password protected. Please call the Macon SSC at (478) 471-2057 if you have questions regarding passwords to resources streamed at http://www.mga.edu/student-success-center/ssc-resources.aspx.

Please take a look at the list of over 700 films that are currently streamed. Adding these films to your site can be done quickly. If you would like a film streamed other than the ones listed here, search for the title at http://gilfind.mga.edu/ or request that the Library purchase the film. Streaming requests are usually completed within 10 days. Streaming requests are only done for films that are owned by the MGA Library or that are created by the professor.

SSC streamed films are streamed as .wmv files. Students will NOT be able to access these films via Macs, the VLC Media Player, or Windows 10. Students who have the VLC Media Player on their computers can change the default player back to Windows Media Player in order to view the films. Due to these issues, the SSC offers Swank Digital Campus as an alternative resource for faculty.

The Student Success Center and the Office of Technology Resources have partnered to provide Swank Digital Campus as an academic resource for faculty and students. Streaming through Swank is accessible through PCs, Macs, and handheld devices. A limited number of films will be available for request starting July 1st, 2016. Please contact Paul Johnson at to see the full Swank listing of 22,099 available films

You can check out the temporary MGA account with Swank Digital Campus via the listed links. The films on the Swank site are the top 100 films most requested by colleges.
