Biography: | Dr. Greg George is a tenured Associate Professor of Economics and the Director of the Center for Economic Analysis, which he co-founded at Middle Georgia State University in 2005. He received his PhD in Economics and Masters Degree in Resource Management from the University of South Carolina and his Undergraduate Degree from the University of North Carolina. Dr. George serves as an expert witness conducting damage assessments in class action law suits around the nation and has been retained as a testifying expert by the Canadian Government in their litigation versus the tobacco industry. Dr. George has testified before the Senate Sub-committee on Tax Reform and consults with municipalities regarding tax policy and budget issues. Dr. George is a Senior Fellow at the Georgia Public Policy Foundation, which advises the Georgia State Government on taxes, budget and economic issues. Dr. George is the Chair of the Middle Georgia Economic Advisory Council with is affiliated with the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and updates then quarterly on regional economic conditions. |
