| Biography: | Mrs. Gray has been with Middle Georgia State University since 2016, beginning as a lecturer and becoming Academic Fieldwork Coordinator in 2020. She is a two time alumna of MGA, with an A.S. in Occupational Therapy Assistant from Middle Georgia College in 2009 and a B.S. in Health Services Administration from Middle Georgia State University in 2019. She also earned a M.Ed. in Adult Education at Valdosta State University in 2024. She brings years of clinical experience and expertise in pediatric occupational therapy, having worked in the public school system for many years . Mrs. Gray's professional journey is marked by her active involvement in various professional organizations. She is a proud member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, the Georgia Occupational Therapy Association, and sits on the Board of Directors for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, where she currently serves as Vice Chair. |

| Professional Experience: | Lauren Gray, M.Ed., COTA/L, ROH is a Lecturer and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program at Middle Georgia State University. A licensed and nationally certified occupational therapy assistant, she brings extensive clinical and educational experience to the preparation of future OTA practitioners. Her professional background includes practice across multiple pediatric occupational therapy settings as well as leadership in fieldwork education and program development. In her role as Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, she develops clinical partnerships, supports fieldwork educators, and ensures students gain meaningful clinical learning experiences that meet professional accreditation standards. Gray is actively engaged in professional service and leadership within occupational therapy. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and contributes to national conversations surrounding competency-based education and professional credentialing. She frequently presents at state and regional conferences on topics related to fieldwork education, professional development, and the role of occupational therapy assistants in practice settings. Her professional interests include clinical education, workforce development in occupational therapy, and strategies to support the professional growth and preparedness of OTA students. At Middle Georgia State University, Gray teaches courses including Therapeutic Media, Pediatric Practice for the OTA, and Level II Fieldwork. Her teaching emphasizes hands-on learning, activity analysis, and the application of occupational therapy principles to real-world clinical practice. She integrates innovative instructional strategies such as flipped classroom activities, experiential labs, and community-based learning experiences to enhance student engagement and professional skill development.
