| Biography: | Dr. Angela Storey is an Assistant Professor of Education in the Department of Teacher Education & Social Work at Middle Georgia State University. She earned her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership (Tier II) from Liberty University, where she graduated with highest distinction. She also holds dual Education Specialist degrees in Teacher Leadership and Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University, a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education from Georgia College & State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Mercer University. Before joining the university faculty in 2022, Dr. Storey served as a K–12 educator for nearly two decades in roles including gifted coordinator, gifted resource teacher, and lead classroom teacher across grades 1–5. At MGA, she teaches a range of undergraduate and graduate courses spanning classroom management, early childhood education, clinical practicum, methods, and foundations of education. Dr. Storey’s research centers on improving teacher retention, particularly among early-career educators navigating the first critical years of practice. She is committed to supporting teacher candidates in developing strong pedagogical foundations, responsive classroom management skills, and the professional resilience needed to thrive in today’s schools. Her scholarship and service also extend to teacher leadership, gifted education, and evidence-based instructional practices. |
