| Biography: | Hello, and welcome. I am an Assistant Nursing Professor at Middle Georgia State University with more than 30 years of experience in professional nursing practice. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing from Southern New Hampshire University with a focus on Patient Safety and Quality, as well as a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Leadership from Purdue Global University. Throughout my nursing career, I have served in a wide range of clinical and leadership roles, including Mental Health and Substance Abuse, Mother/Baby, Pediatric and Adult Emergency Medicine, and Forensic Nursing as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. I have also held various leadership and management positions. While these diverse experiences have shaped my practice, my primary professional passion has always been pediatrics and newborn nursing. Beyond my academic and clinical work, I am actively engaged in community service as a member of the Community Advisory Board for Rainbow House Child Advocacy Center in Houston County. In my personal time, I enjoy traveling and gardening, activities that allow me to recharge and remain connected to the world beyond nursing. |
