Middle Georgia State University's online Post-Master's AGACNP certificate program is designed to address the dynamic needs of the healthcare industry, empowering Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) to obtain their AGANCP certifications and excel in acute care settings.

**Included with the application, applicants must submit a 500-word minimum written Statement of Purpose, which includes an overview of how the AGACNP program will enhance their knowledge, skills, and abilities in their future AGACNP position and how the specialty will impact healthcare outcomes and the provisions of healthcare. This Statement of Purpose should reflect scholarly writing in APA format to include a clear, concise flow of ideas and the use of citations.

Note: Evidence of writing competence will be evaluated through the candidate's prepared Statement of Purpose submitted with the application.

 

Admission Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing degree from an institutionally accredited college or university
  • 3.0 undergraduate GPA
  • 1 year of Advanced Practice nursing experience
  • Unrestricted Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice License in Georgia
  • Grade of “C” or better in an undergraduate statistics course
  • Grade of “C” or better in a 3000 or 4000-level physical/health assessment course
