ABOUT MGA DIRECT: Middle Georgia State University Online is the Online Campus of Middle Georgia State University, the most affordable public University in the State of Georgia. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Deliver course content via the D2L/Brightspace Learning Management System (LMS).
•  Academically engage students via the LMS on a daily (work-week) basis.
•  Provide substantive, detailed feedback on all student assignments within 72 hours of the due date.
•  Responding to student emails, LMS messages, and phone calls within 24 hours (weekends excluded).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Superior organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and student engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet all grading and reporting deadlines.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of a Master’s Degree with at least 18 hours of graduate credit in the teaching discipline.
• Minimum of two year’s higher education teaching experience.
• Minimum of one year online teaching experience.
• Proficiency with a Learning Management System (D2L/Brightspace preferred).
• Familiarity with best practices in instructional design for adult learners.
