This is a part-time, non-benefited, hourly position with responsibilities for managing the Middle Georgia State University Recreation and Wellness Center (Cochran Campus), including supervision of staff. This position will report to the Coordinator overseeing the Recreation and Wellness Center.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete daily tasks and functions assigned by Coordinator

• Supervise and assign daily tasks to Wellness Center student staff

• Train Wellness Center student staff on rules and regulations

• Open and/or close Wellness Center making sure all areas are secure

• Ensure cleanliness of facilities and notify supervisor of any services needed

• Assist in ordering equipment and supplies for Wellness Center

• Supervise Wellness Center events

• Communicate any student/member concerns or suggestions to Coordinator

• Attend any meeting assigned by Coordinator

• Perform duties related to recreational activities

• Have knowledge of all current and upcoming Intramural, Fitness, and Wellness related events

• Promote and encourage students to participate in hosted events

• Wear appropriate attire and provide quality customer service to students/members

• Represent Middle Georgia State University with professionalism at all times

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma/GED; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekends; experience with management of programs and/or activities; must be a student at MGA enrolled in at least 12 hours; must be in good academic standing with a min. 2.5 G.P.A.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience with management of programs and/or activities; experience with supervision of staff one year of management experience.

SALARY: $9.00/per hour
