Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for a Welch Hall Staff. This position provides administrative and customer service support for the operations of the Office of Residence Life.


  • Answers telephones and greets visitors, including students and parents; provides information and assistance; refers to appropriate personnel.

  • Processes residence life applications.

  • Assists students in the room selection process.

  • Receipts fees for housing applications and security deposits.

  • Makes changes to student meal plans as requested.

  • Receives student criminal background check consent forms.

  • Enters student identification numbers.

  • Performs related duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years. Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs. Skill in prioritizing and organizing work. Skill in the use of such office equipment as a computer, scanner, fax machine, and copier. Skill in oral and written communication.

SALARY: $10.00/per hour.
