Career Goals: "I want to teach at the college level and conduct neuroscientific research. With new brain imaging technologies, the possibilities in this field are limitless. I am interested in researching areas such as autism, Alzheimer's and substance abuse and recovery."

She chose Middle Georgia State College because … "I was working full time and raising three children. Middle Georgia State was convenient and cost effective. It was only after I started taking classes that I realized how amazing the school really is. The professors are awesome! I chose the college for purely practical reasons and was blessed to find an environment in which I could grow and succeed."

The one thing that surprised her about Middle Georgia State was … "The level of difficulty in some of the classes. Of course, these were also the classes which were the most rewarding!"

Her favorite professor is … "I have to put two professors, Dr. David Biek and Dr. Charles Cliett. I took Intro Psyc, Human Development, Risk and Decision Making, and Psychology of Adjustment with Dr. Biek. I took Biopsychology, Sensation and Perception and Experimental Psychology with Dr. Cliett. Both professors believed in my ability and challenged me to think critically about the material. They are both fantastic, and I am so grateful that I was able to take classes with them."

Her favorite place to study is … "Home."

One thing people don’t know about her is … "I am willing to help anyone who is willing to do the work to succeed."

My friends make fun of her because … "I'm brutally honest and addicted to Starbucks."

The one person she'd most like to meet is … "Oprah Winfrey because she is willing to spend so much of her time and money helping others succeed. She is an amazing role model."

Five years from now she sees herself ... "Teaching psychology and researching brain function."
