MGA Hosts DECA Competition

Joshua Profit is a senior at Houston County high school and was one out of 160 high school students competing in the DECA Region 10 competition at Middle Georgia State College.

Each student competes through an interview or a presentation.

"It's definitely nerve-wracking at first, but once you get in front of the judge, you figure out that you're very prepared, because all these teachers do a great job of preparing for students," he said.

DECA or Distributive Education Clubs of America, teaches students about business, marketing, finance, hospitality and other topics.
