Career Goals: "The human mind fascinates me, so I hope to gain knowledge and skills that will help me to evaluate minds and improve the lives of others as a psychologist."

She chose Middle Georgia State College because ... "It is affordable and close to my home. At the time, I was still searching for my sense of self along with the direction that I wanted to go. In some ways, I am still searching. Now, I have a vague idea of who I want to be. My professors and my peers helped me realize the path that I wanted to follow. I suppose you could say that I came for the affordability and stayed for the hospitality."

The one thing that surprised her about Middle Georgia State was ... "The number of people who share interests that are similar to mine. I am happily surprised that I managed to find my own little niche so quickly here. I made some great friends here, and I know that I will miss them and this college dearly later on."

Her favorite professor is ... "That's difficult to decide. I like a professor with a good sense of humor, so I suppose I would have to choose Dr. Stephen Svonavec for his 'bad jokes' and silly puns. I found his U.S. history lectures enjoyable through his use of humor."

Her favorite place to study is ... "In a quiet, isolated place where I can listen to my music while I work, similar to the seminar rooms in the library. Once I have my playlist set and running, I can often find a comfortable pace to read and study."

One thing people might not know about her is ... "I like to doodle and draw during my free time. In fact, when I was graduating high school, I initially started checking out art colleges, like SCAD. I was planning on being some sort of art major. I had enough doubts about my future to steer me away from such a career. I realized that I preferred to keep my drawing as a hobby rather than a job. I did not like drawing under pressure very much."

Her friends make fun of her because ... "Of my goofy boyfriend, Michael. We're a perfect match, and we can be a really dorky couple at times. I also tend to brag about how awesome we are at times. My friends just like to tease us because they love us so much."

The one person she'd most like to meet is ... "Bill Nye (The Science Guy) because I would love to get together to perform some fun scientific experiments together. I am a bit of a science geek, so I feel like I would really enjoy meeting him. Not only was he the star of my favorite science show, but he is also a man of intellect that I would find engaging to talk with."

Five years from now she sees herself ... "Hopefully working a steady job while also working on my master's degree or maybe even a doctorate. By then, I will have a place of my own with my boyfriend. I will be moving up in my future career, one step at a time. I can see myself helping others to better themselves and improving myself in the process."
