MGA Prof Elected North American Accounting Society Officer

Mimi Ford, associate professor of accounting at Middle Georgia State, has been elected to serve as an officer for the North American Accounting Society. She will serve as vice president of academics in 2016, the president-elect in 2017 and president in 2018. Also, she will serve as program chair for the 2017 North American Accounting Society conference. The North American Accounting Society is part of MBAA International, a multidisciplinary gathering of leaders from around the world with almost a half century of history to present and receive useful research, share effective pedagogy and network. The organization consists of 12 academic organizations representing a variety of business disciplines.

Ford has been teaching at what is now Middle Georgia State since 2000. She holds a bachelor of business administration and a master's in accounting from the University of Georgia and a law degree from Mercer University School of Law.
