Middle Georgia State Adds Flight Programs

Thursday morning, Middle Georgia State University's president, Christopher Blake announced the school's plans for the the Herbert Smart Airport in east Macon.

The university and the Macon-Bibb government said they signed a lease with the Macon-Bibb Industrial Authority to expand their aviation program to Macon.

"New life and new energy will come to this airport that has been here for several, several years but hasn't really been used for a long while," said Blake.
