Through her non-profit organization Addisyn’s Hope, which provides services to families who have experienced infant loss, MGA alumna Angela Clayton has funded a scholarship for Middle Georgia State psychology majors.

Employment: Truist Bank assistant vice president and branch manager.

MGA Degree: Associate of Science in Business Administration, Class of 2010. Clayton also holds a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from Clemson University. 

Career: “I am the founder of Addisyn’s Hope Inc., which is a non-profit geared towards assisting families who have experienced infant loss. Although infant loss is such a difficult experience and conversation to have, I truly appreciate the opportunity to help mothers cope and handle their grief. This organization is one step towards normalizing the conversation of infant loss and taking shame and embarrassment out of the conversation. It brings me great joy to see mothers and families get some relief through resources from Addisyn’s Hope.  

“Aside from my organization, I am a branch manager for SunTrust, now Truist, in Macon. I absolutely love being a resource to the Middle Georgia community by providing financial literacy. I have had the opportunity to relocate to develop in my role and I am truly appreciative for the amazing experiences, opportunities, and wonderful people I have had the pleasure of meeting.” 

How are your Middle Georgia State experiences benefiting you now in your career and personal life?

“My experience at Middle Georgia State University helped me adapt to a new city and learn the community. I enrolled at MGA after I attended Clemson University. I was new to the area and my initial plan was to just take a few classes to occupy some downtime. However, during my first semester, I met the most amazing professors and classmates that I still keep in touch with today. My experience at MGA greatly helped with my transition to Macon and played a major role in my business relationships today.”

Where do you see yourself in five years?

“I see myself with a blessed and growing family and waking up genuinely happy with my career and my thriving organization.”
