Activities: “I am a member of the prestigious Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, which hosts several charity events throughout the year.”

Career Goals: “Being a registered nurse for several years, I decided that I want to be able to expand my knowledge base involving acute, critically ill patients and take on a new role as a provider.”

He chose to pursue a graduate degree at Middle Georgia State University because … “I obtained my bachelor’s degree from Middle Georgia State University and fell in love with the staff and the University itself. Looking through the different programs that offered my desired degree (AGACNP) I found that Middle Georgia State recently began a program that offered this specific degree. The decision was easy.”

The greatest thing he discovered about Middle Georgia State was … “The growth of the school and the amazing faculty in my specific program. As the school continues to expand, I am even more honored to be an alumnus.”

The greatest academic experience as a Middle Georgia State student has been … “Graduation! Nursing school was extremely difficult for me to adjust to, and I struggled early on, but I found the light at the end. I will finish the master’s degree this May, which will be my greatest academic achievement thus far.”

To him, greatness means … “Greatness equates to perseverance. Throughout life you will get knocked down many times. You will be rejected. You will be denied. But those who persevere and continue to fight are the ones who are considered great. The ones who never take failure as an option become great.”

In five years … “I see myself making a difference in people's lives through my profession. I plan to be working in an acute care setting where life-changing decisions are made every day. I will be providing for my family. My wife and I are expecting our second son this June so I plan to continue to expand my family and work to become the best role model for my boys as possible.”
