Congratulations to Dr. Sabrina Wengier, who formally received the Felton Jenkins Jr. Hall of Fame Faculty award for the state university sector during the University System of Georgia's annual gala on September 12. The award was initially announced last spring. Wengier, professor of French and coordinator of Modern Languages, is the first MGA faculty member to receive this significant award, given in recognition of individual faculty for a strong commitment to teaching and student success.

For over 25 years, Wengier  has enriched the college experience by prioritizing student success. Her unwavering commitment extends beyond the classroom, fostering strong connections between students, faculty, and staff. This dedication is evident in her extensive work with student groups and clubs, her active participation in the Transparency in Learning and Teaching program, and her efforts to expand language programming options. Students consistently commend her for her engaging teaching style, her ability to create a respectful and supportive classroom environment, and the guidance she provides while pushing them to excel.
