Adding Courses
During Registration and Through Drop/Add, you may add courses to your schedule using SWORDS if there are open seats.
Dropping Courses
Through the Drop/Add period, you may drop courses online using SWORDS. Courses dropped during this period will not be recorded on your transcripts.
Withdrawing from Courses
After the end of the Drop/Add period and before the last day to withdraw with a grade of “W,” students may drop courses and receive a grade of "W" on their transcript. A "W" does not affect a student's GPA. Consult the Academic Calendar for exact dates. The procedure to withdraw is as follows:
- If dropping one or more courses, but not entire course load, students may drop via SWORDS or by visiting the Registrar’s Office.
- If dropping all courses, students will complete Drop form, Advisor’s signature is required, turn in for to Registrar’s Office.
- Withdrawal must be completed through Registrar’s Office
- Once declared, a WF grade cannot be rescinded except when a student has extenuating circumstances and submits petition.
A student may only withdraw from a maximum of five courses. After the five course limit, all subsequent withdrawals will be recorded as "WF".
Petition for Hardship Withdrawal
Students who have experienced hardship of a non-academic nature may petition for a hardship withdrawal.
