Becoming a More Resilient Adult Working with Children Seminar

Thursday, April 4 | 11 AM-1:30 PM

Macon Campus | Math Auditorium

The Assessment and Care Team and the Office of Campus Culture and Community would like to invite students, staff, faculty, and community members to attend the Becoming a More Resilient Adult Working With Children Seminar on Thursday, April 4 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Math Auditorium on the Macon Campus. The seminar will look at resiliency in the context of caregiving and/or parenting.

Caregivers' actions and the behaviors they model for children can have a large impact on children and the community in which they live. In this seminar, we will look at ways we can model resiliency for children through our responses to stress, the impacts stress can have, and ways we can promote positive childhood experiences and create resilience through connection. Guest speakers Amanda Juarez, Resilient Middle Georgia Project Coordinator, and Andrea Meyer Stinson, Co-Founder of Resilient Middle Georgia and Director of Workforce Strategy & Initiatives for Resilient Middle Georgia, will be speaking on resiliency in the role of caregiving.

Lunch will be provided. Register for the event.
