The Peyton Anderson Foundation awarded Middle Georgia State University (MGA) a $1.2 million grant to implement the Center for Middle Georgia Studies, an intellectual and creative hub to address many of the region’s most complex challenges. The Center is located in MGA’s Macon Campus Library and was completed in January 2024. Creation of this Center is in alignment with our new Strategic Plan: Middle Georgia’s Path to Excellence.
A search is underway for an Executive Director whose leadership will help shape the direction of the Center in collaboration with an advisory board and other thought leaders across the region.
