Master of Art in Teaching (MAT) Student Information Sheet

Master of Art in Teaching Application is Currently Open

To be considered for the education program, steps 1 and 2 must be submitted in its entirety. Incomplete application packets will not be processed. Step 3: Please complete the Student Information Sheet below.

Step 1: Complete and Submit the online application at Master Of Arts In Teacher Education With Initial Teacher Certification - MAT: Middle Georgia State University.

Step 2: Send ONE email containing all required application documentation to graduateadmissions@mga.edu; in the subject line type First Last Name_Program_Application Packet (ex: Jane Doe_MAT_Application Packet).

Step 3: Complete the Student Information Sheet below.

We do not offer preparation for certification in Elementary Education through our Pedagogy-Only MAT program. Initial certification in Elementary Education in Georgia is a content-rich stand-alone program. Elementary Education as well as Special Education is not an add-on area for certification in Georgia and would require you to complete a content-specific elementary education program. However, you may choose another graduate MAT program focused on Elementary Education, or an alternative teacher preparation program (GaTAPP).
