All students are provided an MGA Email account to which official University communication is sent. Please begin checking this account weekly! Email accounts are NOT available immediately. Email accounts usually take 1 to 2 business days after you register for your first class to be created. First name.last name@mga.edu (some users may have a number after the last name) Default email password will be capital P, hashtag #, and your 6-digit birthday in MMDDYY format. Example – P#010193

Banner/SWORDS is the University's gateway to the Banner Student Information System. The system provides online access to registration, grades, class schedules, transcripts, financial aid status, account balances, and much more. Your SWORDS account can be accessed with your student ID# (983######) as your username. The default password is your 6-digit birthday (010193)

Brightspace by D2L is the Learning Management System of Middle Georgia State University. A Brightspace course site allows "anytime, anywhere" access to syllabi, readings, multi-media files, assignments, online quizzes, communication, grades, etc. Every MGA course has a Brightspace course site, be sure to check it regularly for course updates and notifications.Be sure to set up your email before accessing Brightspace/D2L. New student accounts will NOT be loaded into Brightspace/D2L until a few days before the scheduled start date of your classes. Classes will NOT be loaded until the night before the scheduled start date of your classes. Your default login information is the same as your email username and password.
