We're excited you've chosen to be an MGA Knight! The next step for your enrollment is to complete the Online Orientation program. Begin your Online Orientation program with the video below!
Spring/Summer 2025 Orientation Video Coming Soon!
Once you've viewed the Online Orientation video, you will then need to complete the Advisement & Registration Confirmation linked below. Choose the link for the semester you are attending! Completion of this form provides consent to your academic advisor to register you for classes. The sooner you submit this confirmation, the better. Early registration ensures that you will have the best class selection!
*Fall 2024 Full Session Classes begin August 14, 2024!
After you submit the Advisement & Registration Confirmation, please view the Student Accounts video below to active your MGA student accounts.
Important Student Account Information
THERE ARE 3 DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS FOR STUDENTS AT MGA
All three accounts can be accessed on the university’s website (www.mga.edu) under Menu and then Current Students at the top right corner of the website. First-time access MUST be completed through a desktop or laptop computer.
Banner/ SWORDS
Log in to SWORDS, Middle Georgia State’s Student Web Organized Records & Data System. You can use SWORDS to register, view your schedule, drop/add classes and check your financial aid status.
*You must set up your MGA Email Address FIRST in order to log into SWORDS.
Brightspace/D2L
Brightspace by D2L is the Learning Management System of Middle Georgia State University. A Brightspace course site allows "anytime, anywhere" access to syllabi, readings, multi-media files, assignments, online quizzes, communication, grades, etc. Every MGA course has a Brightspace course site, be sure to check it regularly for course updates and notifications.Be sure to set up your email before accessing Brightspace/D2L. New student accounts will NOT be loaded into Brightspace/D2L until a few days before the scheduled start date of your classes. Classes will NOT be loaded until the night before the scheduled start date of your classes. Your default login information is the same as your email username and password.
