My favorite class was my History of Folklore class! I encourage all students to take that class, if it is offered.

How has Middle Georgia State University helped you achieve greatness?
Middle Georgia State University has taught me so much. I've always loved learning and studying about different cultures and as a student in the History department at MGA, I was able to do exactly what I loved. Having the opportunity to participate in alumni events and now being an employee of one of the best universities in Georgia, MGA has helped me to achieve greatness!

The 3rd floor in the library at both the Macon and Cochran Campuses. There have been so many times that I have been able to go to the 3rd floor and get so much work and studying done without any interruptions.

My favorite place on campus is the balcony overlooking the flight ramp on the Eastman campus. On the balcony, you get a captivating view of aircraft taking off and landing.
Fun Fact:
I'm a pilot! I earned my private pilot license on August 15th, 2018, private pilot - airplane single-engine land.
What was your favorite class in college?
My favorite class at Middle Georgia State was Private Pilot Flight Lab. You get to fly airplanes!

Take advantage of the tutoring opportunities available to all knights at Middle Georgia State University. Even if you are not failing, tutoring sessions can help you retain a high GPA.
How has Middle Georgia State University helped you achieve greatness?
Middle Georgia State University opened the door for me to realize the dream of flight. At the age of 15, I flew for the first time at an airshow and have loved airplanes ever since. However, actually becoming a pilot seemed out of reach for me. Thanks to the School of Aviation at Middle Georgia State University, now I am pursuing my dream of flying airplanes.

Middle Georgia State University is one of only two universities in the nation to operate our own air traffic control tower. The air traffic controllers located at the Heart of Georgia Regional Airport in Eastman, GA, home to the School of Aviation, are actually Middle Georgia State University employees.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
When I was younger, I was convinced I would become a veterinarian because of my love for animals. As I grew older, my love for people surpassed my love of animals, and I knew I wanted to have a career where I could help others.
What talent do you wish you had?
I wish I could play the piano.
What was your favorite part about college?
My core classes! I came into college undecided and my core classes really helped me figure out what I liked and did not like.

Make connections! Talk to people. You never know who you might meet if you are brave enough to reach out.

As a student, I loved setting up my hammock between the trees by the lake on the Cochran campus.
Fun Fact:
I play the guitar and sing a little bit. My most memorable experience performing was at a luncheon for a U.S. Presidential Cabinet member!
What was your favorite class in college?
My favorite class was Abnormal Psychology, as I am very passionate about mental health and empathy. It is required for psyc majors, but other majors can take it as well.

An advantage of MGA is our small student to instuctor ratio. Get to know your professors, and they will be able to assist you even after graduation. College is the perfect time for making connections and building relationships.
How has Middle Georgia State University helped you achieve greatness?
Middle Georgia State University has given me many opportunities to achieve greatness through new experiences. One formative experience was when I was a teaching assistant as an upperclassman in the psychology degree program. I helped to give lectures for Intro to Psychology and learned a lot.

There are many opportunities for leadership on campus such as Emerging Leaders and President's Torch Society that many students either don't know about or aren't taking advantage of.

My favorite class was web development. I was able to design my own website, it was fun getting to use my creativity and create a website that I was able to use.

Always read the syllabus! Reading the syllabus helps you know what to expect for assignments, exam dates, presentations, and attendance requirements in each class. If you know what's coming, you can plan for it.

Middle Georgia State University has played a major role in my life I was able to learn and try many new things and be part of a great community. I went from being a student to having the opportunity to work with other students. MGA has helped me to achieve greatness!
