In the School of Information Technology, Koohang
worked as an assistant in the robotics and intelligent
systems lab, where he participated in two major re-
search projects. He was chosen to intern at Georgia
Tech through the 2018 Civic Data Science program
representing Middle Georgia State. He participated
in a project called RatWatch, which aimed to docu-

city of Atlanta through SMS data collection, an excel-

demics and research, he has participated in various
hackathons, including HackGT, and has volunteered
for STEM outreach organizations.
Another option for high school learners is the
Georgia Academy of Arts, Mathematics, Engineering
and Sciences. This exclusive 2-year dual enrollment
residential program allows high school students the
opportunity to earn simultaneously a high school di-

degree from Middle Georgia State University.
For the past three years, an average of more than
500 students have taken dual enrollment courses.
