Living Learning Communities (LLCs)
Living Learning Communities (LLCs) offer students the opportunity to live with other students engaged in the same academic program or school. In addition to co-curricular activities, participants will also attend at least one shared course with other LLC students to support holistic learning and engagement while enhancing their residential student living experience.
Creative Arts and Film
The Creative Arts Living Learning Community (LLC) provides exciting academic and social opportunities for residential freshmen in Cochran and Macon to explore and express their creative and artistic interests and skills. In this community, you will live and learn with a diverse group of students who share your love of film, literature, creative writing, museums, music, and visual art.
The group will offer students opportunities to attend on-campus and off-campus performances, art exhibitions, and film and media experiences and will provide creative activities that allow you to explore, develop, and display your own artistic talents.

Computing
The Knights in Computing Living Learning Community (LLC) engages students in the discussion of the role of computing technologies in contemporary society. This LLC is open to students in the School of Computing. Students will explore current and emerging technologies, people, and places involved in the evolution of the computing field with special emphasis placed on the modern societal impacts of computing.
Students will engage with faculty in discussions both in an outside of class on topics of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, privacy on the internet, security and safety, social media, and other current and emerging computing issues. Students will enroll in specific courses including ITEC 2215.

Honors
The Honors Living Learning Community (LLC) is an opportunity for students and instructors to create a community of scholars. Come be a part of our community! During the fall semester, Honors LLC students are enrolled together in the Honors Perspectives course on either the Macon and Cochran campuses (for example, Honors Perspectives on Society and Film or Honors Perspectives on Narrative).
These courses feature guest speakers, field trips, and related experiential learning events throughout the semester. In the spring semester, the Honors LLC students participate in professional development workshops with the Honors Program director.
Students may also apply to the Honors program and indicate interest in the LLC. To view eligibility requirements and apply, please visit the Honors Program page.

Themed Housing Communities
Themed Housing Communities offer students the opportunity to participate in events and activities with other students who share similar interests and/or involvement in programs to provide a vibrant residential student living experience.
Aviation
Knights in the Tower (Aviation Themed Community) connects Aviation majors living on the Cochran campus, creating a vibrant and supportive environment to take your aviation journey to new heights!
This themed housing community will provide tailored programming to foster your passion for aviation and opportunities to network with professionals in the aviation industry. By living and learning alongside fellow aviation enthusiasts, you’ll build valuable connections and gain insights that will support your academic and career goals.

Leadership (for First-Year Students)

The Leadership themed community is designed for those students who desire leadership development and exposure to general leadership principles. This community of first year students will help contribute to the growth of leaders who will make an impact at the university, in their communities, and in their careers.
Students will explore various topics and engage in activities to cultivate leadership skills as well as promote character development. Students will develop skills that make them competitive for internships, campus leadership roles, and academic honors.

Wellness

The Wellness themed community is designed for students who are interested in their own holistic development, which includes the physical, emotional, spiritual, occupational, intellectual and social dimensions of wellness. Living in the Wellness themed community will connect students with others who share their interest in a holistic lifestyle. This community will focus on programs and opportunities that assist in developing the whole individual and works closely with the office of Recreation & Wellness to facilitate those opportunities. The Wellness themed community is an opportunity for students who seek to prioritize their well-being while pursuing their academic goals, thereby graduating the complete, holistically developed person. This community is open to students of all majors and classifications.
