Nursing Entrance Exam - Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS)

 

TEAS Exams

Prior to your exam, please review the most current MGA Testing Center policies here.

The TEAS Exams are given on computers in the Academic Testing Center. Registration requires a $75.00 non-refundable test fee online payment with a debit or credit card. The TEAS Entrance Exam must be taken within 12 months prior to the closing date of the application period. TEAS scores from other test sites are accepted. In order to sit for the test, examinees must have an account with Assessment Technology Institute (ATI) and know their username and password.

Steps to creating an account:

  1. Go to https://www.atitesting.com/Home.aspx
  2. Click on “Create an account”
  3. Enter your first and last name, MGA email address, and password
  4. Submit

Test day procedures:

Registration begins 15 minutes prior to test start time.

Exams will not be eligible for reschedule without proof of emergency or extenuating circumstances. Please contact with any questions.

NO ADMITTANCE IS ALLOWED AFTER THE TEST START TIME.

Test time is approximately 3.5 hours, not including registration and exam instructions. Examinees are to bring their ATI log-in information (username and password) and a valid government issued photo ID which includes a driver’s license, government ID card, passport, military ID, or alien residency (green) card.

The following items are prohibited during testing: books, papers, notes, pagers, cellular phones, or any other electronic devices, reference materials, food or beverages (storage space is limited so it is recommended that these items are not brought to the testing site).

Use of a Calculator

The ATI TEAS will allow for the use of a four function calculator. MGA utilizes the online version of the ATI TEAS, meaning a calculator is embedded within the exam. Personal calculators are not permitted.

Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) Subjects/Topics:

The ATI TEAS is composed of 170 questions, 20 of which are non-scored pretest items. The number of scored questions on which individuals will be evaluated is 150. The total time allotted to complete the test is 209 minutes (3 hours 29 minutes).
