Eighty percent (80%) of respondents indicated the necessity for home automation to be included
in their security system for convenience when away from the home. Temperature settings can be
adjusted when away and re-adjusted when returning home. Keeping lights on predetermined
settings are useful when going on vacations. Neighbors can gain access onto the property using
smart locks in the event of an emergency. Businesses can adjust their HVAC system remotely
during weekends, holidays, or any non-working periods.
