COVID-19 Refunds

COVID-19 refunds of student fees were distributed to students during the week of April 6.
  • Check your SWORDS account – Check your Student Account within SWORDS to verify the refund amount you received.
    • Reference the COVID 19 refund plan (below) for refund amount specifics
    • Student accounts with balances due had refund amounts applied to those balances first.
  • Make sure you are set up to receive payments through BankMobile:
    • BankMobile is the vendor we used this year to issue financial aid refunds. They were used to process these refunds as well. The preference you selected in BankMobile determined your payment method.
    • If you already have a BankMobile account - Log in to your BankMobile account and ensure you have an active refund preference and verify all other info is current.
      • If you do not have a BankMobile account - Contact the Bursar's Office at bursar@mga.edu  to receive a personal code that will allow you to set up your refund preference.
  • Some students did not receive refunds- Students that were exempt from paying fees (USG’s Tuition Assistance Program and Age 62+ waivers for example) or students in a few other unique categories did not receive refunds.

March 16 will be used as the last date of services provided; refunds were issued for the seven weeks remaining in the Spring Semester.

We ask for your patience as we work to get these refunds to you, and please know this is our office’s top priority. As we continue to practice social distancing, our staff are teleworking; however, we are available to answer questions about your refund through email at bursar@mga.edu
