Meal Plan Purchases and Changes
There are three ways to add a Commuter Meal Plan to your Knight Card:
- Pay with the plan with available Financial Aid online
- Pay with the plan online with a credit card, debit card
- Visit the Bursar’s Office in person ONLY if paying cash

Pay with Financial Aid Online:
Commuters can purchase meal plans online with available financial aid or student account funds for a limited time at the start of each term. Students will only be able to use student account funds during the dates listed below.
Commuters can purchase meal plans online with available financial aid or student account funds for the first three weeks each semester.
To Purchase A Meal Plan:
- Visit knightcard.mga.edu
- Login using SSO
- Select Manage your meal plan
- Select Term
- Select Add
- Choose the meal plan you wish to purchase
- Select Continue
- Select Payment Type – Choose Student Bursars
- Select Confirm

Pay online with a card:
Commuters can purchase meal plans by using a card anytime during the semester. Please note that block plans do not rollover, and must be used during the current semester that the meal plan is purchased.
To Purchase A Meal Plan:

- Select Manage your meal plan
- Select Term
- Select Add
- Choose the meal plan you wish to purchase
- Select Continue
- Select Payment Type – Choose Credit Card
- Select Confirm

Pay in person at the Bursar’s Office:
We ask that only cash purchases take place in the Bursar’s office – all other meal plan purchases should be completed online.
Visit the Bursar’s Office location on your respective campus and ask to add a Commuter Meal Plan. For a listing of Bursar Office locations, please visit https://www.mga.edu/bursar/contact.php
While the Bursar’s Office should have information on all meal plans, feel free to review available plans by visiting Dining Services

All residential students are required to have a meal plan on the Cochran and Macon campuses for the fall and spring semesters. Meal plans are automatically added to the student’s account once a student has been assigned and confirmed housing. If you are unsure of your housing status, please email
Meal plans will not physically show for usage until the semester begins. However, the billing of the meal plan and ability to change the meal plan will show approximately one week after confirming housing.
For Fall and Spring semesters, all residential students are assigned the default meal plan of 19 meals per week plus $100 dining dollars. Residential students can modify their meal plan based on the options available to them based on where they reside.
Note: The last day to cancel or decrease a Residential/Board or Commuter/Block meal plan for Fall or Spring semesters is five business days after the start of classes.
Fall and Spring Residential Meal Plan Options:
University Pointe and Students Living on the Cochran Campus that have majority credit hours in Eastman
- 19 meal plan w/ $100 or $200 dining dollars
- 15 meal plan w/ $100 or $200 dining dollars
- 10 meal plan w/ $100 or $200 dining dollars
Lakeview Pointe, Knights Hall, Anderson Hall, Regents Hall, Harris Hall, and Gateway Hall
- 19 meal plan w/ $100 or $200 dining dollars
- 15 meal plan w/ $100 or $200 dining dollars

How to Modify your meal plan:
- Visit knightcard.mga.edu
- Login using SSO
- Select Manage your meal plan
- Select Term
- Select Manage
- Select Change – if you would like to change from the default meal plan
- Choose the meal plan you wish to change to from the default meal plan
- The amount shown is the rate with the meal plan and dining dollars
- Select Continue
- Select Confirm
Faculty and staff can purchase meal plans by using a credit or debit card anytime during the semester OR through payroll deduction. Please note that faculty/staff meal plan balances rollover each semester until meal plan has been used completely.
