Class assignments include digital image retouching and compositing, web pages and interfaces, scripted and documentary video-making, color and typography studies, video and audio editing, and motion graphics.
What will I do?
Graphic designers create visual concepts, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers. They develop the overall layout and production design for applications such as advertisements, brochures, magazines, and reports.
Will I be able to find work?
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates job growth in graphic design related occupations to increase by 3% between 2021 and 2031, creating 6,800 new jobs. Typical entry-level education is a Bachelor’s degree. Median pay for 2021 was $50,710 or $24.38 per hour.
