Central Receiving
Middle Georgia State University has a bulk mail account with the post office. If you have a bulk mailing that is being handled through a third party printer, please contact to ensure proper billing. If you would like to send a bulk mailing directly through the Mail Room, please contact Facilities at or 478.471.2780 for the appropriate forms and arrangements. Bulk mail fees are charged back to the originating department.
Certified Mail is available to the Macon and Warner Robins Campuses by request. Each department must request these labels from the campus post office.
Once the department receives the labels, the sender will need to complete each label in its entirety before returning it to Facilities.
Certified Mail considerations include:
- Being Processed just like any other type of sorted mail. It does not expedite the delivery of the envelope
- Not Providing Insurance
- Requiring the recipient of the envelope to sign in order to prove receipt. This can cause the mailed envelope to be delayed or even returned if the recipient fails to sign the label for any reason.
The Copy Center, formerly known as the Print Shop, contains two high-speed black and white copiers. A department ID code is required, and users must sign in. There is a per copy fee that is charged back to the originating department on a monthly basis.
The Copy Center provides letter sized copy paper; however, color paper, card stock or other specialty sized paper is the responsibility of the originating department. Special paper can be ordered through the state contract vendor for office supplies.
*The Copy Center does not provide legal paper at this time.
If you have a large file that you would like copied, you may email the file to , along with instructions as to how the copies should be made, and how many are needed, and the deadline. We will notify you when the copies are complete.
FedEx can be used ONLY if someone has a prepaid return label. Individuals will need to get all packages to Facilities or place the packages in their outgoing mailbox. (Making sure that the package is labeled to where it needs to go and includes the department name). Contact Facilities at or 478.471.2780 for questions.
