Growing in the Classroom and on the Field

From intercollegiate athletics to registered student organizations, from study abroad to service learning, students at Middle Georgia State
have the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom.
In 2018, our MGA Knights brought home their first baseball Conference Championship title for the Southern States Athletics Conference
(SSAC) since ascending to the four-year National Intercollegiate Athletics Association (NAIA). Our tennis teams also dominated in the NAIA,
with both men and women making it to the National Championships, and our women becoming regular season co-champions.
Perhaps more importantly, nearly 50 of our scholar athletes earned academic awards from the SSAC and NAIA. In fact, more than 50 percent
of our student athletes maintain a GPA above 3.0, demonstrating that discipline pays o on the field, on the court, and in the classroom.
