About
The Office of Institutional Research and Data Strategy (OIRDS) serves as a source of institutional information to support planning and resource allocation for Middle Georgia State University.
Previously the Office of Institutional Research, the Office of Institutional Research and Data Strategy brings together the offices of Enterprise Information Systems and Institutional Research. By locating the tech side and the analysis and interpretation side of data, the OIRDS can more quickly, more effectively, and more confidently provide actionable information to the campus community.
OIRDS is also responsible for federal reporting, responding to external surveys, and completing information requests for MGA administrators, staff, faculty, and community members. In support of this mission, OIRDS:
- provides regular enrollment, retention, and graduation reports
- assists staff in providing readily accessible data and reports to the university employees
- develops and administers student, faculty, and employee surveys
- responds to external surveys, ensuring that accurate information about MGA is available to prospective students
- curates a collection of consumer information, again ensuring that accurate information about MGA is available to current and prospective students
- responds to requests for institutional information, as time and privacy policies allow
