NexGen Coding Challenge

Welcome to the 1st NextGen Coding Challenge!

The School of Computing at Middle Georgia State University is thrilled to invite high school students to showcase their programming prowess in an exciting Python coding competition!

Taking place on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at our Warner Robins campus, this event offers a unique opportunity for aspiring developers to collaborate, solve complex challenges, and experience a collegiate environment dedicated to innovation in computing.

Teams of two to four students will tackle a series of engaging Python programming challenges, each designed to test and enhance their problem-solving skills and coding expertise. Throughout two to three challenge blocks, participants will create code solutions that may include developing functions, crafting short code sequences, or even building object-oriented classes. Teams may bring laptops to work on challenges.

After each challenge block, teams will have the chance to present and discuss their solutions with our panel of judges, gaining valuable feedback and insight from computing professionals and faculty.

With a registration fee of just $50 per team, participants will also enjoy a provided lunch, a glimpse into university life, and the chance to connect with like-minded peers who share a passion for technology and innovation.

Payment can be sent to:
